AS OF JANUARY, 2017, WE EXTEND A VERY BIG WELCOME TO KATHERINE DAVEY, STUDIO TRAVELER'S NEW PARTNER!
Studio Traveler’s ‘bio’ is really short and sweet--
Studio Traveler has been offering cultural travel since January 2012. Clients have included a wide variety of museums and other non-profits: The Contemporary Art Museum of Raleigh (NC), The Museum Trustee Association, The North Carolina Museum of Art, Preservation Greensboro, Inc., Reynolda House Museum of American Art and Weatherspoon Art Museum.
Studio Traveler’s list of destinations is long and growing: Berlin; Buenos Aires; Cape Town; Chicago, Dallas; Havana; Los Angeles; Marfa, Texas; Munich; New York;, Quebec City; Philadelphia; Portland, Maine; Lisbon; Porto; Santa Fe; Venice and Washington D.C. Each one a special place...
Studio Traveler founder, Adeline Talbot has degrees in painting and in design. For four years in the early 2000’s, she owned and operated Pain Ordinaire, a small artisanal bread bakery. In the 'oughts' Talbot served as the founding director of the Public Art Endowment at the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro. She is originally from Charlotte and has lived Greensboro since 1993 with her husband David and their now grown daughter Mary. Studio Traveler grew out her of life-long love of travel and all things cultural.
Katherine Davey is a Greensboro native who recently moved back to her hometown after 15 years in Atlanta. Katherine's three grown children are all passionate travelers. Nonetheless, the 'country tally' for all three combined may not be quite as high as their mother's. Katherine has been, both with groups and as an individual traveler, to 10 countries in Europe; 4 in South America; 4 in the Middle East; 6 in Africa and 3 in the Caribbean.
Both Adeline and Katherine love what they do, every detail, every experience, every place--and every participant who does them the very great honor of traveling with Studio Traveler. That people place their confidence in the quality of the experience they will have on a Studio Traveler trip never fails to be a source of delight and gratitude. It seems the very least that Studio Traveler can do in return is to create a meaningful, stress-free and fun travel experience.
