Bauhaus-Archiv

Guided tour of this exquisitely well-curated collection of perhaps

the most influential design movement of the 20th century

For decades this spot has been the preferred lunch spot for elegant Berliners

Museumsinsel

Museum Island, a stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site, is comprised of five museums

with a primary focus on antiquities with holdings that include Nefertiti, the Ishtar Gate and many, many other masterworks

TUESDAY October 6

Studio Visits

As we'll see this morning in visits to two studio complexes, Weissensee and Ulferhallen,

young and mid-career artists from across the globe come here to pursue their art.

It’s official name ‘Museum of the Present’ perhaps says it all--Berlin’s premier contemporary

art museum housed in a vast and wondrously transformed 19th century train station

Eigen + Art Lab

We tour this renowned gallery's space dedicated to the young and the experimental.

WEDNESDAY  October 7

Day Trip To Potsdam

We tour Sansscouci, Frederick the Great's gorgeous summer palace and grounds.  

Often called 'Little Versailles', it is both its equal in elegance and yet far more intimate in scale.

art collection is one of the most extensive and important in Germany

Erika Hoffmann allows private tours by appointment to her renowned contemporary

art collection in her multi-story living space in Mitte
