SUNDAY OCTOBER 18

TOUR BEGINS AT 12:30 P.M.

LE BON GEORGES

We gather for welcome and introductions over a mood-setting bistro lunch at the wildly delicious Le Bon Georges

WALKING TOUR OF THE FIRST ARRONDISSEMENT

There is no greater charm to be found in the City of Lights than in its show-stopping First Arrondissement. Our guide leads us on stroll that includes THE LOUVRE, LE JARDIN DES TUILERIES, L’ORANGIE, THE PALAIS ROYAL and SAINTE CHAPELLE.

CHAMPAGNE & OYSTERS BY THE SEINE

To complete our introduction to this wondrous city we do as Parisian’s do and enjoy one of life’s great pairings. Oysters. Champagne.

DINNER :: OPEN

This is an open night to give everyone time to adjust to jet lag not to mention the very real possibility of beauty overload.

MONDAY OCTOBER 19

TOUR OF THE CHAMPAGNE REGION

We depart after breakfast for a deep dive visit to the Champagne Region

We begin with a visit to the house of CHAMPAGNE J. DE TELMONT and their renowned tour, THE SOUL OF CHAMPAGNE, which will as a serve as our comprehensive introduction into champagne making

LUNCH::  A L’ERE DU TEMPS

A charming spot in the midst of the local action

We next visit the small, historic house of A MARGRAINE for a private tour during blending season

DINNER :: L’ORANGERIE

We dine in tonight at the elegant dining room of our hotel, the ultra charming CHATEAU D’ETOGES

TUESDAY OCTOBER 20

We begin our day with at the house of VEUVE CLIQUOT where we take a charming and insightful tour focusing on Madame Clicquot’s singular vision and the inspiration that led to creation of one of the world’s great champagnes

Next we depart for new adventures in nearby Arras, a charming historic town well-situated for our Wednesday visits to our chefs.

We arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon walking tour of Arras

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 21

VISITS TO & WITH ‘OUR CHEFS’

A full day of visits, hands on demonstrations and dining with the beloved chef owner’s of La Grignotierre, Dereume Bakery and L'Hermitage

THURSDAY OCTOBER 22

We travel back to Paris stopping along the way at two of France’s iconic gardens, one a painter’s visionary dream and another literally fit for a king.

CLAUDE MONET'S HOUSE AND GARDEN

At Giverny, we take a morning tour of Monet’s house and gardens, the source of much of the inspiration for the incomparable late works of Impressionist painter Claude Monet.

LUNCH :: LES NYMPHEAS

We linger in the gardens for just a while longer over lunch at Les Nympheas

LE POTAGER DU JARDIN

We next visit Versailles, the famed palace of the Sun King but this time we switch up the focus a tour of its kitchen garden, the extensive Potager du Jardin

FRIDAY OCTOBER 23

MARKET VISIT AND COOKING CLASS

We are in expert hands as we start our morning in one of Paris’s oldest outdoor markets creating a menu as we go before then heading indoors to prepare a classic French meal ending with a festive lunch

TOUR OF THE MARAIS

After lunch we explore another area of central Paris, the Marais. Medieval lanes filled with some of the oldest buildings in the capital and the newest in new Parisian cuisine, shopping and design.

 SATURDAY OCTOBER 24

WINE AND CHEESE TASTING

Our final ‘structured’ learning experience of the trip, we spend the morning exploring some of France’s classic cheeses and wines

DINNER LES 110 DE TAILLEVENT

The perfect spot—relaxed, elegant, delicious, wine-centric and just a few steps from our hotel. The charming young off-shoot of the legendary Taillevent is indeed the perfect spot for our farewell dinner

THE BEACHES OF NORMANDY

An optional full day small group private guided excursion to Normandy is offered to include pick up and drop off at our hotel in Paris, tour guide and transportation to the American D-Day landing sites and beaches, the American Military Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, the Mémorial de Caen Museum and Pointe du Hoc. Prices start at $175.00 with lunch and other options available.
