OUR DAY IN POTSDAM
Built between 1745 and 1747 Sanssouci is the former summer palace of Frederick the Great, King of Prussia. It is often compared to Versailles.
While Sanssouci is in the more intimate Rococo style and is far smaller than its French Baroque counterpart,
it too is notable for the numerous temples and follies throughout its extensive formal park-like grounds.
Lunch :: Zur Historischen Muhle
A charming lunch spot adjacent to the entrance to Sansscouci

SATURDAY, MAY 14th
Located in the Charlottenburg district of Berlin, Charlottenburg is the largest palace in Germany. The palace was built at the end of the 17th century and was greatly expanded during the 18th century. It includes much exotic internal decoration in baroque and rococo styles. A large formal garden surrounded by woodland was added behind the palace and includes a belvedere, a mausoleum, a theatre and a pavilion. Though badly damaged in WWII, the palace has since been fully reconstructed and is today one of the most visited sites in Berlin
