POWERSCOURT ESTATE

Powerscourt is quite literally considered one of the most outstanding, swoon-worthy gardens in the world

Nature is the gardener at the site of a 1000 year old monastery in the legendary Wicklow Mountains

WICKLOW HEATHER IRISH WHISKEY BAR

We have a wee dram of this small-batch local brew, well, just for the fun of it!

WEDNESDAY JUNE 8

We depart for points west!

ROTHE HOUSE TUDOR GARDENS

We arrive in Kilkenny in time to tour this 400 years old, perfectly preserved house and garden

CLOCLOUGH WALLED GARDENS AND TINTERN ABBEY

This recently restored garden is a supremely fine example of an 18th century walled garden

THURSDAY JUNE 9

We‘re in Waterford so we take the morning off for shopping, touring or just dreaming

in this beautiful place before we are off for an afternoon of visits

LISMORE CASTLE GARDENS

The Irish seat of the legendary Cavendish family, the gardens of Lismore are thought to rival those of the family’s English estate Chatsworth House

BALLYMALOE ORGANIC GARDEN TOUR

Ballymaloe has been a renowned and innovative cooking school since the 1970’s. Its decades-long dedication to farm to table cooking now includes a particularly fine and extensive organic garden

STOPS ALONG THE IVERAGH PENINSULA

We make the most of this of our transit from Cork to Limerick as we travel along the rugged coast and through the rural seaside villages stopping along the way to take in the views and to visit the equally rich historic sites
